A note from the studio

Atelier means workshop

That's what our studio is. A small room where the chain gets cut, the pearls get wired one at a time and every piece is finished by hand.

This collection was designed, curated and created together with our team. Many of the pieces can be worn more than one way. Wear them on their own or layer them however you like.

The details

14K gold filled

A thick layer of real gold bonded to the core, so it lasts far longer than plating. Made to be worn every day.

Pearls

Freshwater and baroque pearls with their natural shapes left as they are. No two are exactly alike.

Gemstones

Faceted tourmaline in the Joy pieces and multicolored spinel on the Juliette. The colors shift a little from piece to piece.

Made to order

Each piece is made for you in 5 to 10 business days. Custom lengths are available on our chains.

Ship or pick up

Order online and we'll ship it to you in 2 to 5 days, or choose pickup at checkout and grab it at the studio on State Street.

What is The Atelier Collection?

Our newest collection from the Teressa Lane Jewelry studio in Carlsbad, California. It's a mix of freshwater and baroque pearls, faceted tourmaline, tiny spinel drops and substantial 14k gold filled chain, all made by hand in small batches. The Coco Bow Earrings are the one exception, gold plated over brass and ready to ship.

What does 14k gold filled mean?

Gold filled jewelry has a thick layer of real 14k gold bonded to a base metal core. It holds far more gold than plating, so it won't flake or rub off and it's made to be worn every day. Our Coco Bow Earrings are gold plated over brass, a lighter piece at a gift friendly price.

How do I care for gold filled and pearl jewelry?

Put your pieces on after lotion, perfume and hairspray, and take them off to swim. Pearls are softer than gold, so wipe them with a soft cloth after wearing and store each piece on its own so nothing scratches.

How long will my order take?

Every piece is made to order in 5 to 10 business days, except the Coco Bow Earrings, which are ready to ship. Once your order is ready, shipping takes 2 to 5 days.

Can I pick up my order in Carlsbad?

Yes. Choose pickup at checkout and we'll let you know when it's ready at the studio, 2680 State Street in Carlsbad.

Can I order a custom length?

Yes. Custom lengths are available on our chains. Send us a note before you order and we'll work it out with you.

Are the pearls and gemstones real?

Yes. We use freshwater and baroque pearls with their natural shapes left as they are, along with faceted tourmaline and spinel. Every stone is a little different, so no two pieces look exactly alike.

Can I see the collection in person?

The whole collection is at our studio, 2680 State Street in Carlsbad. We're open Tuesday to Saturday 10 to 6, and Sunday and Monday 10 to 4.
